The Cadore lakes are places where all the splendor of the Cadore valley is concentrated.

Lakes are not only mirrors of water but they enhance the beauty of the surrounding places. Looking at them you can not only see water but the reflection of mountains and sky giving a sense of peace and relaxation.

In Cadore one of the most beautiful lakes that can be seen and certainly Lake Misurina born more than 20,000 years ago during the last glaciation without taking anything away from Lake Centro Cadore which takes the whole valley and Lake Auronzo where you can mirror the most beautiful Dolomite peaks such as the Tre Cime di Lavaredo.

Misurina lake is one of the lakes that most attract tourists on holiday in Cadore.

Easily accessible from the nearby Cortina D’Ampezzo or Auronzo, it is a very popular place during the summer season.

Centro Cadore Lake is an artificial lake created in the 1950s with the construction of a dam in the locality of Sottocastello.
It is surrounded by the nearby villages of Pieve, Calalzo, Domegge and Lozzo di Cadore.

Two bridges are built on the lake that allow the crossing on the other shore, the starting point for excursions in the surrounding mountains.
One of the most characteristic places around the lake is surely Lagole which allows walks, sports activities such as fishing and entertainment places such as the source of ferruginous waters where tourists love to cool off on hot summer days.

The Lake of Santa Caterina – Auronzo di Cadore

Lake Santa Caterina in Auronzo di Cadore is one of the most important lakes in the valley. Its emerald green color makes it a place not to be missed

Born with the creation of a dam, it has a basin of about 2 km and took its name from the small church of Santa Caterina from the 1500s which is located right at the end of it.
